Greg Mercer’s visual journal

About

with 2 comments

I’m Greg Mercer and this is my visual journal.  A work-in-progress since late 2008, it’s a place where I chronicle my daily adventures, experiment with different media, and feature other artists doing inspiring work.

These days I’m spending a lot of time sketching around The Field Museum (I’ve been working here since 2006), snapping pics in the streets of Chicago, and drawing fellow commuters on trains and buses.  I’m gearing up to do a lot more screen printing and plan to start featuring some of my poster and t-shirt design here as well.

I’m not really sure where this will lead, but it’s got me back to drawing everday and it’s pushing me to take some chances.  I plan to keep at it almost every day and just see where it all goes.  Thanks for checking it out and let me hear from you if you like what you see or have any suggestions.
